Alford P. Howanitz

Alford P. Howanitz, 61, passed away Tuesday June 15, 2010 in Port Charlotte, FL. He was the son of Mary Onita (Thomas) and Eugene Howanitz, Jr., born Feb. 12, 1949 in Miami, FL. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He worked out of Local 349/Miami. Al traveled the United States as a journeyman electrician. His furthest point of work was when he worked on the Alaskan pipeline in 1977. He will be greatly missed by his Fianc, Linda Henderson; sons, Patrick Howanitz of Rosewell, Ga., Justin Howanitz of Punta Gorda, Fl, Rick Henderson of Cape Coral Fl; daughter, Amber Rovegno of Port Charlotte, Fl.; grandchildren; Rachel, Paul, Rachelle, Daniel, Alyssa, Natalie, Maximilian and Brice; Siblings; Ann Barron, Eugene(Buddy) Howanitz and Bobby Howanitz. A graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens South, Miami, Fl.
