Alexander Kelly

Alexander Kelly, 58, of Punta Gorda passed away December 30, 2005. He was born July 6, 1947 in New Orleans, LA to Mae Beauford and the late Eugene Kelly. Kelly retired from the maintenance department for the City of Punta Gorda. He was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church of Punta Gorda and played basketball and loved cutting lawns. Kelly will be greatly missed by his daughters Angie (Lavosia-Joe) Price of Punta Gorda, Tynishia Kelly of Orlando, FL, Katrina Wade of Ocala, FL, Yakita Brinson of Hainsville, GA, Alicia (Brandon) Goggins of Ft. Stewart, GA; sons Alexander Wade of Atlanta, GA, Tavosia Kelly of Pt. Charlotte, FL, Shawn McNeal of Columbus, OH and DeMond Brinson of Ft. Hood, TX; seven sisters; eleven brothers; twenty-three grandchildren; godson Stacy Jones; along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends; special friends Johnny (Big John) Lloyd, Jerome (Fats) Harris, Dan, Lula Jernigan and Doug and Tammie Stroman. The family will receive friends at 10:00 - 11:00 am, Saturday, January 7 at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Punta Gorda with service in celebration of Kelly’s life to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Indian Springs Cemetery.
