Aldeo James Labrie

Aldeo James La Brie, 68, of Punta Gorda passed away May 23, 2019. He was the son of Alfred and Lorette La Brie, born June 27, 1950 in Caron Brook, New Brunswick, Canada. Al came to Punta Gorda, via Cape Coral, from Maine; he loved living in Florida. Al had been a sales manager in car dealerships for many years. He liked to be involved in his community and served as president of the Lions Club and as emcee for the Maine Potato Blossom Festival. Al attended and sang in the choir at St. Brunos Catholic Church. After moving to Punta Gorda, Al enjoyed serving as the secretary for the Blue Heron Pines HOA, and golfing with his buddies on Mondays. Al will be greatly missed by his wife of 47 years, Janice; sons, Jonathan (fianc, Ann Marie Blenkhorn) La Brie of Buxton, ME and Anthony (partner, Ryan Bibeau) La Brie of Waterville, ME; granddaughter, Haley of Buxton, ME; sisters, Nancy (Stanley) Ouelette of St. John, ME, Rinette (Joel) Jandreau of St. Francis, ME, Louisette (Darlington) Ricker of Perry, ME, and Diane (Peter) Saucier of Fort Kent, ME; brothers, Patrick (Elaine) La Brie of Poland, ME, Louis (Odette) La Brie of St. Francois, New Brunswick, Donald (Vicki) of New Sweden, ME, and John Glen La Brie (partner, Charlie Mitchell) of Cumberland, ME. Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 1:00pm at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be made in Als memory to the American Heart Association.
