Albert Adams, 84, of Port Charlotte passed away June 9, 2008. He was born September 30, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA. Albert served in the US Air Force during WWII and then worked at the FAA Technical Center in Pomona, NJ. After his retirement, he moved from Absecon, NJ to Punta Gorda, FL. He moved to Port Charlotte two years ago. Albert was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He will be greatly missed by his wife of three years, Elaine; daughters, Alma Jean O'Connor (Carl) of Mahwah, NJ and Mary Francis Adams (Wally) of Bridgewater, NJ; son, Albert (Debbie) Adams of EHT, NJ; step-daughter, Nancy (Kenny) Thomas of Glennville, GA; step-sons, Paul (Sonya) Yochim of EHT, NJ and John (Jill) Yochim of Port Republic, NJ; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A celebration of Albert's life will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services with Father Jim Simko officiating. Military service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 19, 2008. Memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army or charity of your choice.
