Alan J. Maston

Alan J. Maston, 64, of North Port, FL passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Bay Pines VA Hospital. He was the son of Bolac and Myrtle (Scott) Maston, born on April 9, 1949 in Woonsocket, R.I. Alan served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He moved from Blackstone, MA to this area in 1994 and worked as a handyman. Alan was of the Catholic faith. Alan will be greatly missed by his daughter, Amy; son, Alan; brother Michael of MA; sister, Kathy of RI and Ann of MA; as well as his brothers and sisters of the AMVETS and VFW organizations. A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Wed., November 13, 2013 at Sarasota National Cemetery, there will be a reception to follow to celebrate Alan's life.
