Alan Define

John “Alan” Define, 78, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011 peacefully at home with family present . He was born June 10, 1933 in Baltimore, MD to Gerald and Ruth (nee Ford) Define. Alan served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Wilb Walker Supermarket as a Store Manager and moved to Port Charlotte from Mattoon, IL in 2001. Alan was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Alan will be greatly missed by wife of 56 years, Janet; daughters, Kathy (Jeff) Yount of Punta Gorda, Connie (John) Graham of Mattoon, IL, Barbara (Mike) St. Louis of Midland, MI and Diana (Chris) Sherman of Mt Vernon, IL; brother, Bob (Debbie) Define of St Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at San Antonio Catholic Church. Burial will follow at 1:30pm at Sarasota National VA Cemetery.
