Perley “Pat” Huntington, 84, of Punta Gorda passed away July 30, 2007. He was born July 24, 1923 to Vernon and Freda (Carr) Huntington. Pat was a graduate of Burlington High School in VT and served in the US Navy during WWII on board PGM 30 as pharmacist mate 1st class for 16 mos. He graduated from Springfield College and NYU. Pat was employed as assistant superintendent for Charlotte County Schools . After 30 years in education he then joined Punta Gorda Realty as a realtor associate. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 61 years, Priscilla; daughters Donna (Zane) Betts of Mt. Dora, FL and Cynthia (Robert) Bazemore of Raleigh, NC; sons Daniel (Kerstin) of Cape Coral, FL and Stephen (Trevor Ngo) of San Jose, CA; brother Carroll (Vivian) of Holland Patent, NY; granddaughters Jamie and Johanna Bazemore and Paulina and Katrina Huntington; sister in law Phyllis Gladding; brother in law Andrew Blackmore both of VT along with several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Pat’s life will be at 2:00 pm., Thursday, August 9, 2007 at the Punta Gorda chapel of Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
