Leslie Roy Payne, Jr.

You will be missed and never forgotten. Leslie R. Payne, Jr., 78, of Punta Gorda passed away, Tuesday, April 3, 2012. He was the son of Josephine (Cavalier) and Leslie Roy Payne, Sr., born on June 5, 1933 in Chicago, IL. Leslie moved from Antioch, IL to Punta Gorda in December 1991. He worked as in ad sales for the Charlotte Sun-Herald. He was a member of the Power Squadron in Skokie Valley, IL and the Lions Club. Leslie loved going boating, enjoyed doing Little Theater, and taught engine maintenance. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 45 years, Joy Ann; daughter Linda (Paul) Centanni of Lake Zurich, IL and son, Leslie T. Payne of Ingleside, IL. A service to celebrate Leslie's life will be at 2 pm, Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
