John Richard King

John Richard King, 54, of Port Charlotte passed away December 23, 2006. He was born March 26, 1952 in Ravenna, Ohio to James and Betty Ann (Cameron) King. John worked for Home Depot in Venice. He was an avid sports fan, especially for the NHL Detroit Red Wings and Michigan football, both college and professional. John enjoyed singing Karaoke with family and friends whenever possible. He will be greatly missed by his wife and friend of 15 years, Vera; sons Christen King of Port Charlotte and John King of Luna Pier, MI; daughters, Vickie (Paul) Longnecker of Petersberg, MI, Crystal King and Amber King both of Port Charlotte; five grandchildren; mother Betty King of Wyandotte, MI; brothers Michael (Deborah) King of Ecorse, MI, James King, Jr., Robert (AnnMarie) King and George (Corrina) King all of Wyandotte, MI; sister Kathleen Wambergue of Wyandotte, MI. John was preceded in death by his father James King, Sr. A memorial service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 24515 Rampart Blvd., Port Charlotte.
