Elaine T. Corson

Elaine Corson, 76, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 at home after a courageous battle with peripheral arterial disease. She was born Dececember 1, 1931 in Rockford, IL and was the daughter of Theodore George and Marie (Adkins) Chabucos. Elaine started working at Sundstrand in 1952 in the Electronics Engineering Lab and retired 37 years later from the Electronic Design/Drafting Department of Sundstrand. She and Rozel began spending their winters in Punta Gorda in 1992 and became full time residents in 2006. Elaine will be greatly missed by her husband, Rozel; children, Mel Ellington of Key West, Sue (Bob) McGavran of Rockford, Bill Corson of Roscoe, IL, Peggy Hanson of Waukesha, WS, Leslie Camp of Belvidere, IL, David Corson of Madison Heights, MI, and Sue Glessner of Wixsom, MI, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and brother, George Chabucos. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Marie Chabucos, sisters, Marion and Dorothy, and brother, John. A celebration of Elaine's life will be at 11:30 at Windmill Village Club House in Punta Gorda. A memorial service will be held next Spring/Summer in Rockford, Illinois.
