Deane Rains

Priscilla "Deane" Rains, 77, of Port Charlotte passed away December 7, 2009. She was the daughter of Albert and Margaret Spears, born January 27, 1932 in Dayton, Ohio. Deane came to this area in 1973 from Dayton and worked for Wachovia Bank and Century 21 Aaward Associates before retiring. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, gardening and the company of her dog, Dixie. Deane will be greatly missed by her daughters, Pam (Larry) Odom of North Port, Pixie Howard of Miamisburg, OH, Bette (Kelly) Graham of Port Charlotte, Kim (Jeff) Edwards of Fort Myers and Diana Calvert of Port Charlotte; son, Terry (Darlene) Rains of Port Charlotte; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. A service in celebration of Deane's life will be at 2:00pm, Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services.
