David G. Hardman

David G. Hardman, 60, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Sarasota, FL passed away Monday, January 16, 2017. He was the son of Harold and Mary Hardman, born May 17, 1956 in Cleveland, OH. David worked for Lee Memorial Health Park as an Information Systems Analyst. He loved playing the drums; jammed with many bands during benefit concerts, including the Stone Canyon Band at Sam's Rock and Roll Cafe and recently at the 40th Reunion of Sweet Revenge Band in Punta Gorda. David enjoyed water sports including sailing and water skiing. He also loved to cook. David will be remembered for having a heart of gold. He loved being around family and friends enjoying life to the fullest and laughing. David will be greatly missed by his sons, Colton and Zachary; brothers, Jeff, Burt and Buddy; nieces and nephews, Amie, Jeffrey, Michelle, Patti and Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wally and Mike and sister, Rita. A memorial service will be held at 11am, Friday, January 20, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2500 Easy Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. A gathering of family and friends will be from 12 to 6 p.m., Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Harbor Heights Park, 27420 Voyageur Dr., Punta Gorda.
