Barbara A. Wilhite

Barbara A. Wilhite, 59, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on August 20, 2021. She was born on January 25, 1962, to Leonard and Barbara Jean Headley in Chicago, IL.  Barbara moved to Punta Gorda from Stanton, MI. 

Barbie was an Office Manager and was very involved in the community.  She never met a hungry person because even when there wasn’t, there was always plenty.  She also never met a stray animal.  If you knew her, she probably never referred to you as a friend, but as family.  She loved the outdoors, spending time at Disney World, crafts, and the fall/winter holidays.  She especially loved Thanksgiving the most.  Barbie loved her family more than anything and she will be missed from now until forever. 

Barbara will be deeply missed by her husband of 43 years, Jeff Wilhite; mother Barbara Headley; daughters Shannon and Megan Wilhite; sons Gerami (Sirena), Justin, and Clayten Wilhite; brother Leonard Headley, Jr.; 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father Leonard Headley.

Due to Covid and all that we have lost already, there will be no public services or visitation.  The family had a small family dinner together and ask that everyone just remember her for the kind, loving soul she was.
