Helen "Arlene" Knickerbocker, 74, of Punta Gorda passed away February 19, 2008. She was born July 26, 1933 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to Bertice and Lillian Lewis. Arlene graduated from Allentown Bible Institute in Allentown, PA. She ans her husband owned and operated the Riverview Diner in Binghamton, New York for many years and retired to Punta Gorda in 1986. Arlene will be greatly missed by her husband of 55 years, Donald J; daughters, Cheryl (Tim) Cokely of Binghamton, NY, Brenda Knickerbocker and Barbara (Bob) Bruner both of Port Charlotte; son Scott Knickerbocker of Laural Lake Brackney, PA; brother, David Lewis of Montrose, PA; sisters Virginia McPherson of Beechgrove, TN and Elizabeth Cady of Mountain View, CA; daughter in law, Karen Knickerbocker of Rochester, NY; sister in law; Dana Bullock; grandchildren, Jessica, Micheal, Edward Cokely, Scott and Nicole Knickerbocker, Nathanial, Jon and Julie Aton, Donald and Annamaria Acquarelli; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son Donald Nnickerbocker, Jr. A internment will be held later at VA National Cemetery in Florida.
